Understanding Domain?
Domain is the name of which is the identification of one or more IP addresses. As an example of a domain name google.com representing dozens of IP addresses. Or an easier understanding of the Domain is a unique name / address for our website, the domain is a name that ends with. Com,. Net,. Org,. Biz,. Tv and others. For example, the domain name for the website address (URL) http://bloggerpemula.info, is bloggerpemula.info.
There are several other terms related to domain name, such as Top Level Domains, Sub Domains, Add-On Domains, and Domain Redirect parked domains. Understanding the meaning of these terms can help us when blogging and want to have their own domain. Here is an understanding of each of these terms:
Highest Level of Understanding Domain / Top Level Domain (TLD)
TLD is the suffix on a domain name that indicates the Highest Level Domain owner and the domain type. Domains like this are limited, some examples are:
â € ¢ gov - Government agencies (Government)
â € ¢ edu - Educational institutions (educational institutions)
â € ¢ org - Organizations (nonprofit organization)
â € ¢ miles - Military (Military)
â € ¢ com - commercial business (Profit Organizations / Commercial)
â € ¢ net - Network organizations (Organization Network)
â € ¢ ca - Canada (Country Canada)
â € ¢ tv - Television (TV)
Because the Internet is based on IP addresses, not domain names, then every Web server requires a server domain name system / Domain Name System (DNS) to translate domain names into IP addresses. Domain by itself only a web address. Because of that domain that can function as an email address or website, hosting is required to translate domain names into IP addresses.
What Is a Domain Redirect?
Redirect Domains understanding - or also called a URL Redirect is the forward (forward) from one address domain name to another domain name addresses, so the URL address of the domain name will be changed to the name diredirect domain. Example: try to open http://goblogmonetize.blogspot.com will be redirect to http://bloggerpemula.info, and the initial domain name diredirect is not seen again.
What is a subdomain?
Understanding Subdomains are additional domain names that are part and parcel of the main domain name. Examples of such subdomain goblogmonetize on http://goblogmonetize.blogspot.com which means goblogmonetize a blogspot.com subdomain of the domain name. Or if we have a main domain namakita.com, our fund directory for installing wordpress.org namakita.com / blog / then we can turn this blog into a sub directory domain by adding it as a subdomain in cPanel hosting blog.namakita.com we become so The URL address is http://blog.namakita.com or http://namakita.com/blog/. And it's free, with no additional costs other domains.
What is Add-On Domain?
Definition Add-on Domains are domain names that redirected to a sub-directory of a main domain name. For example we have a website address: namakita.com, we can add-on bisniskita.com and directed to show anything in namakita.com / bisniskita /. When http://bisniskita.com/index.html accessible from the Internet, visitors will not notice any difference, bisniskita.com will look like as a domain name familiar to visitors. What was shown was actually in namakita.com / bisniskita / index.html. Add-On Domains even by itself would be a subdomain of the main domain, namely bisniskita.namakita.com.
Subdomains and Add-on domains are not separate from the main domain name, so the share (share) with the primary domain in all respects, including diskspace, bandwidth and cPanel. We're not going to get cPanel for each add-on domains are added, all arranged in a single Main cPanel account (cPanel namakita.com in the example). Making FTP & Email Accounts for an account can be done in cPanel bisniskita.com namakita.com.
In conclusion: Sub Domains and Domain Add-on does not have its own cPanel, but the functionality & features, just the same as a domain name / account usual.
Add-On Domains can be accessed in three ways, and for the example above is:
http://bisniskita.com/ (Direct)
http://bisniskita.namakita.com/ (Sub Domains)
http://namakita.com/bisniskita/ (Directory)
And generally how 2 and 3 automatically becomes the primary domain redirect to the address (one way).
What Is a parked domains?
Understanding parked domains are domain names that are not actively directed (domain redirect) to the primary domain name to get traffic (traffic) the same number of visitors on a same site or blog. Suppose a domain name bisniskita.com want us parking in our main domain is namakita.com, then bisniskita.com will show anything in namakita.com with a fixed URL address is http://bisniskita.com. Which differentiates this Domain Redirect, where the domain name will change to a domain name purposes. And we still have to pay a rental fee each of the domain name
